After conception you are now eating for two people and you
cannot run the risk of harming the baby by consuming things that could hinder the development of your
child.

While you endure the visitations of your physician you will
surely hear words like folic acid and iron. There are some women who say that being pregnant actually helped them
lead a healthier lifestyle through exercise and healthy eating which was all triggered by the thought of their baby
being okay.

Don't fall into the trap of eating more because you are
carrying a baby. this is so WRONG and does nothing but cause problems. You only need on average about 400 extra
calories a day during pregnancy. Of course this varies depending on your current weight.

The bottom line is this though. There is about 40 weeks to
endure during pregnancy and you need to eat right to maintain great health for you and the baby. Over eating does
nothing but complicate things for you and the child.

consult with a nutritionist and doctor for a proper diet for
you and try to stick to it as much as possible. We are not expecting you to follow it every week that could be
stressful. the point is to make sure you have a guideline so you don;'t get to far out of whack with weight or
nutrients that are surely need during pregnancy.

Here is something to follow for your generic
guideline:

 •  Choose vegetable rather than animal
fats

 •  Eat plenty of salad, vegetables and fruit (preferably
raw)

 •  Drink water and fruit juices to keep up your fluid
intake

 •  Take adequate daily exercise (low impact)

 •  Eat a wide variety of nutritious foods

 •  Ensure you have a good intake of calcium

 •  Be sensible about sweet and fatty foods

 •  Drink tea and coffee alternatives such as herbal tea and
de-caffinated coffee
